Following its highly anticipated premiere, BEL officially closed the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 19th. Directed by Louise Lockwood, the profoundly moving documentary received a powerful response from audiences as a tribute to the life and art of the late Kenyan-Scottish musician Beldina Odenyo (Heir of the Cursed).
The screening brought together filmmakers, contributors, and festival-goers to celebrate Beldina’s legacy and the journey of her loved ones as they work to bring Bel's posthumous debut album to life.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this very special closing night. BEL will be touring UK cinemas throughout September and October.
